For Teachers and Parents

Talent Week is an initiative developed by the Talent & Enterprise Taskforce and its partners.

Talent Week was originally conceived by the Talent & Enterprise Taskforce which is a Downing Street initiative. It was keen to find an accessible and popular way for young people to recognise and showcase their talent within their local community.

Business in the Community is a member of the Taskforce and has been a major part of developing the concept and implementation of Talent Week and is mobilising its corporate members to support it.

Following a successful partnership with Government developing an environment initiative within its members' shopping centres, the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) was keen to help launch a National Talent Week by building Talent Walls and related programmes within its centres.

Edge, an independent education foundation, dedicated to raising the status of vocational and practical learning has helped finance Talent Week as part of its commitment to promoting “many paths to success”.
